1962

Born in London.

Studied at the Central school of Art and Design Then with William Ware, (War Artist, d. 1997) for 10 years, an old fashioned training studying Old Master Techniques, Classical Painting and Drawing.

1982-85

Trained as a mime artiste, also studied dance improvisation and Commedia del'Arte. Performed in South Africa, Europe and UK doing Street Theatre, Cabaret, schools, and festivals, with A Fist of Fools, The Unfortunati, and Trestle Theatre. Designed Puppets, props, masks and brochures.

Private commissions: includes portraits, Christmas card design, dog portraits. Commissioned work hanging in private homes and hotels, in Belgium, Antibes, Mexico, Antwerp and Amsterdam.

Corporate Commissions: Melbourne Court Estates (logo and watercolours), Egertons Estate Agents (paintings for show houses), The Wren Press, Kall Kwik Printers, Merrett and Co Property Co (cartoon for brochure). Coopers and Lybrand (initiated project to buy art for their offices in Croydon); Peter Millard and Co (including 20 watercolours for a hotel and other paintings made into prints), Project Art, Melbourne Court Estates, Interflora, Maggie Kay Interiors (three murals for Lowndes Hotel, Knightsbridge); mural work for Flamminia Murals; Sylvie Vaughan Interiors; London Contemporary Art (flyer for a company doing a garden at Chelsea Flower Show);

Artist in Residence: Winter 2011 Season: Artist in Residence with the London Chamber Orchestra, drawing in rehearsal and concert.

October 2011: Artist in Residence with a Puppet Class at Central School of Speech and Drama, observing , and drawing as they progress from Gary Friedman's Master Class.

Two LIFT Festivals, The Place and Beyond Words at the Hawth Crawley. Drew regularly at Sadler's Wells and Circus Space.

Charity Work: Supports and donates work to charity: mural for the neo-natal unit at the Mile End Rd Hospital; voluntary teacher at the Chelsea and Westminster Hospital School; drawn and donated cartoons for Hearing Dogs and for Battersea Dogs and Cats; has also donated to Rhino Arc, Romanian Orphans, Chemical Dependency Centre, Promises Charity, Edward Bear Charity, Vale Hospice Appeal, The Do at the Zoo, Muscular Dystrophy; Malcolm Sarjeant Cancer Fund; as well as to other local causes.

Teaching: (since 2004) for art scholarships and private pupils.
